The Trigger Advantage
Everything about the Walther PDP Compact starts with the trigger. The Performance Duty Trigger uses a flat-face design with a clean, pre-loaded striker mechanism that produces a crisp break, short take-up, and a reset so tactile and short that it fundamentally changes how you shoot the gun. In rapid fire, the reset is instinctive — you feel it snap forward and you know the gun is ready.
This isn't marketing hyperbole. In direct comparison tests with the Glock 19, SIG P320, and M&P 2.0, the PDP's trigger is consistently rated first or second (the CZ P-10 C is its only real factory competition). Many shooters who've tried the PDP's trigger won't go back.
Ergonomics & Build Quality
The PDT grip texture uses raised tetrahedral points that provide secure purchase in any condition — wet, dry, gloved — without the abrasiveness of Glock's RTF2 or the Hellcat's adaptive texture. It's comfortable for all-day carry and long range sessions. The 18-degree grip angle puts the bore axis low and the sights naturally on target for most shooters.
